NUR2401 Alterations and Health Concepts
This course emphasizes nursing roles, the nursing process, and the application of core nursing concepts across lifespan. Students apply nursing concepts to clients and families experiencing common acute and chronic alterations in health, with attention to the promotion of wellness and prevention of disease. Care is examined in relation to the physiological, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs of individuals and families. Principles of management and leadership, including critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization, are reinforced and expanded. Nursing knowledge, including pharmacology, is integrated through practice and validation of advanced nursing skills in the campus laboratory.
