This course is a survey of contemporary political, economic, and social issues which directly affect the lives of Native Americans. Issues range from preservation of traditional values to modern tribal sovereignty. (1-3 lect.) (Max 6)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Evaluate the history of the topic
2. Determine tribal perspectives and competing views
3. Identify current actions which address the topic
4. Project possible solutions and their impacts on Native America
