MDIA 1005 Podcasting

This course introduces the student to the pre-production, production, and post-production process required for audio and video podcasting.  The student will implement communication and interviewing techniques for the development and delivery of content utilizing new media technology. (2 Lect., 1 Lab)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Identify the three types of podcasts.

2. Demonstrate the use of equipment and software necessary for podcast production.

3. Explain the promotion and monetization of podcasts.

4. Develop an idea for potential podcast production.

5. Demonstrate ethical decision-making when informing, persuading, and/or entertaining.

6. Create a podcast integrating creativity, scripting, editing and production.
