Credit for Prior Learning

Central Wyoming College recognizes that students acquire knowledge in many settings. Credit for prior learning (CPL) is the process CWC uses to validate college-level knowledge and competencies gained through industry, military, or other educational experiences. CWC offers students several ways to earn CPL: by direct exam, professional certification, alternate education, and military training and experience. Students are limited to earning a maximum of 75% of the credits in their declared program through CPL and Transfer credits. None of these methods for alternative credit can be used for financial aid, scholarships, and athletic/activity eligibility. Please note, credits earned through Credit by Examination may not be accepted for transfer at another institution.
