SWA1010 Introduction to Social Welfare
In this course, the student will receive an overview of the dimensions, functions, and challenges of the contemporary social welfare system. The course addresses the various social problems that exist in America and the extensive human service networks that have been established to address these problems. The student will also investigate the values, ethical guidelines, and the legal regulations of the human services worker. There will also be an overview of the career options for human services workers.
