ENGL 2017 Introduction to Research

This course provides an introduction to the critical and creative aspects of the research process, to the variety of physical and on-line resources available, and to the steps in formulating and writing a research paper. Topics include: locating, using, and evaluating information; online catalogs and databases; search tools and strategy on the Web; information ethics; writing, editing, and finalizing a research paper; documentation style, and more. Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 1010. (3 lect.)
