CSMO 1605 Skin Technology Lab

This course provides an opportunity for the cosmetology or esthetician student to work through the applications learned in CSMO 1600 Intro to Skin Technology. Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in CSMO 1600, CSMO 1701, and CSMO 1702. (2 lab)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Conduct client consultations using client intake forms.

2. Analyze skin for type and condition.

3. Demonstrate proper use of the esthetic equipment and treatment rooms.

4. Implement the different skin care classifications into facial processes.

5. Perform manual facial.

6. Describe and identify three methods of permanent hair removal and contraindications.

7. Demonstrate methods of temporary hair removal.

8. Demonstrate proper infection control processes.
