This special topics course offers training to law enforcement. This course can be used in the Criminal Justice AA and AAS Degree Programs. The student may repeat
CRMJ 2545 with different topics for up to 12 credits toward a degree. (.5-3 lect.) (Max 12)
Major Topics
- Major topics are determined by selection of topics and issues in the criminal justice and/or law enforcement area;
- Examples:
- School Safety
- Crisis Management
- Criminal Jurisdiction
- Custody and Control issues
- Virtual Firearms training
- Simunitions Firearms training
- Self Defense
- Defense of others
- Other topics and issues as appropriate
Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Demonstrate proficiency in the issue or topic that serves as the basis for the criminal justice and/or law enforcement training

This course is to be utilized for training in the Rural Justice Training Center and Mobile Training Lab. It will allow POST certified law enforcement officers and college students to obtain college credit for training received in the Rural Justice Training Center and Mobile Training Lab.
