CNSL 1310 Personal Growth Group

This course is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to participate in a personal growth group. The student will be exposed to the basics of group rules, group dynamics, and the various stages that groups typically pass through. (1 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Actively participate in, and complete the personal growth group, through sharing of personal issues.

2. Provide constructive feedback and insight to other members.

3. Complete structured activities during the group process.

This is a six-week course, taught simultaneously with CNSL 2310 – Introduction to Group Counseling, which is a 16-week course. Human Service majors are required to take CNSL 2310, but CNSL 1310 Personal Growth Group would be available to any student interested in participating in a personal growth group experience. No text is required. Instructor Qualifications: Licensed professional counselor in the state of Wyoming or the equivalent is required.
