ART 2140 Photography III

This is an advanced course in digital or film photography with greater emphasis on individual projects or portfolios. The student will be expected to not only critique their own photography but also the work of their peers. Specific emphasis will be placed on development of focused thematic content. Prerequisite: Completion of ART 1160 or ART 2146. (2 lect., 4 lab)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Create a portfolio of images using the principles of control in photography, film, composition, and control of light.

2. Critique photographs and photography as an art.

3. Assess the technical aspects of proper camera use and darkroom skills.
