EED 380 Developmentally Appropriate Practice & Curriculum
This culminating course puts into practice the study of content standards and developmentally appropriate practices involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating early learning. Emphasis will be placed on identifying, choosing, and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies that are geared toward the abilities and interests of each individual child. Technology integration in the planning, delivery, and assessment process will be studied. Instructional strategies related to communication, transition, behavior, and cross-disciplinary academic subjects (including math, literacy, science, social studies, and the arts) will be discussed and teaching to mastery and for generalization will be highlighted. A letter grade of "C" is required.
