CEP 201 Cross-Cultural Competencies in Changing Communities
Cross-Cultural Competencies are skills that are becoming of major importance in changing communities globally. This course focuses on cultural adjustments and its challenges, migration and resettlement awareness, integration, language barriers, as well as resulting consequences of identity struggles and trauma. It also covers topics of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), with a special focus but no limitation to age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, economic status, and other diverse backgrounds. This course includes field-experience(s) in local community and/or community-based settings. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
