Advisors
Responsibility for fulfilling all graduation requirements ultimately rests with the student.
Faculty advisors are assigned to students by major and assist students in planning their academic coursework at WLU. Because course offerings vary by term and academic year, students are required to consult with their faculty advisor at least once each semester prior to registration.
The advisor is responsible for assisting students in planning their curriculum, and in scheduling required courses to meet both the general graduation requirements and the requirements for a major and/or minor field of study.
Incoming freshman and transfer students or students changing majors may be assigned a temporary advisor until a permanent faculty advisor can be identified.
During Registration, current students must contact their academic advisor to get the alternate pin, which is required to complete registration in WINS.
