SLP 515 Augmentative and Alternative Communication
Exploration of meeting the needs of non-verbal individuals by supplementing residual communication skills with alternative means of access. Consideration of the assessment, device selection, and treatment approaches for non-verbal individuals will be the focus of the course.
Additional educational instruction will include providing a team approach, training communication partners, and hands-on experience with different assistive technology tools and devices.
