BIO 335 Anthropod Diversity

Surveys the evolution, morphology, classification, life histories, physiology, behavior and ecology of the insects. Laboratories will include hypothesis-evaluation studies, insect sampling, collecting, mounting, labeling and identification. Students will complete a major collection of specimens identified to family. Field trips to various terrestrial and aquatic sites. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week, and weekend field trips.
