READ 565 Advanced Methods of Multi-sensory Instruction
This course provides candidate's advanced-level language and literacy skills. Teachers will gain a conceptual and practical understanding of language origin, usage (syntax/semantics) and content (pragmatics)in order to expand techniques and practices when teaching, reading, spelling, and writing. Candidates will build upon their previous knowledge and their practicum experience to identify interventions and appropriate lesson accommodations for more difficult and challenging case studies. Candidates will study specific strategies for improving vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills at the advanced level. Pre-req: READ 563.
