EDUC 548 Program Development & Evaluation

Program development and evaluation are necessary processes that can be applied to any program in any field of specialization related to community education. In order to develop effective educational programs, to guide, and to evaluate them, this course will provide several models, including basic steps, as a starting point for students. In the developmental phase, the students follow specific steps as they plan, implement, and evaluate their educational programs. No project is too small or too big. The projects can range from the development and evaluation of a small workshop to a whole community endeavor. In community education, "programs" can include after-school programming, summer camps, and children's museum exhibits.
