MATH 130 College Algebra with Applications

An applications-oriented study of algebra. Topics include the graphs and properties of polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, along with their associated equations and inequalities; introduction to sequences and geometric series with application to financial mathematics; matrix arithmetic and Gauss-Jordan elimination with application to linear programming, systems of equations, and Markov chains. Open to Elementary Education majors and Business majors only.
