FREN 310 Survey of French Literature
This course is a survey of major authors of the French literary cannon. Will engage in critical reading of poetry, theater, short stories, and novel prose. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing about literature, but active discussion of the texts will also be essential. Revision and rewriting of student essays are an integral part of the course, as well as regular individual conferences. Prerequisite: FREN 201 or equivalent.
