EP 455 Modification of Exercise
This course will encompass the development of exercise programs and exercise management for persons with chronic diseases and disabilities, i.e., cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic diseases, and orthopedic diseases and disabilities. An overview of the disease pathophysiology, the effects on the exercise response, training and medications; as well as recommendations for exercise testing will also be discussed. Prerequisite: EP 448 and 449. A grade of "C"or better is required.
