EED 330 Assessment in Early Education

This course provides students with understanding the role of assessment in early education as it relates to designing and implementing developmentally appropriate programs. Students will study, develop, and implement a variety of formal and informal assessment tools and approaches for gathering, documenting, interpreting, and analyzing results. Specific attention will be paid to gathering data from multiple assessment sources, using authentic assessment and making fata-based decisions. Students will also explore methods for effectively, respectfully, and collaboratively communicating results to families and utilizing technology throughout the assessment process. A letter grade of a "C" is required. Pre-requisite: EED 280.
