CHEM 377 Organometallic Chemistry

The purpose of this course is to examine the design, synthesis, and reactivity of transition metal complexes that can be applied to organic chemistry reactions. Topics covered include, formal oxidation state, electron counting, classes of ligands, catalytic cycles, metal ligand multiple bonds, fluxional processes, and isolobal analogies.  Pre-req: Chem. 342 and Chem. 400
