ART 386 Advanced Typography
This course builds on fundamentals learned in the ART 286 Intro to Typography course. Using a computer, students will explore the design and communication of complex information and diverse forms of typographic expression as they relate to a specific audience. Analysis of structure, design, composition, and typographic systems in relation to meaning and context will be explored. Students will work iteratively through intense practice and inquiry to create materials that are functional, expressive, compelling, and appropriate. Prerequisite: ART 286.
