Bioethics (MS) - Online Program
Overview
The MS in Bioethics program at UTRGV provides students with a rigorous background in bioethical issues arising in clinical practice, research, and health law and policy. Focusing on social justice and health equity, the program is designed to create leaders in health care, health care administration, governmental agencies, and academic institutions with the capacity to exploit opportunities and manage resources effectively while remaining responsive to technological advances and the complex social, political, and economic conditions which drive health outcomes and health disparities. While providing an in-depth and general survey of bioethics, this program enables students to specialize in the study of intersectional issues affecting Hispanic/Latinx and Mexican American communities and border regions such as the Rio Grande Valley.
UTRGV School of Medicine MD students are eligible for concurrent enrollment in the MS Bioethics program. For more information, please see the School of Medicine catalog.
This program is 100% online.
