Clinical Laboratory Sciences Certificate - Accelerated Online Program
Mission
The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Certificate allows students who have already completed a Master of Science Health Science degree the opportunity to complete a second concentration and obtain a graduate certificate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences for that additional course work AND to allow other students the opportunity to complete a concentration only (no degree) with a graduate certificate to document their efforts.
This certificate may be used to document professional development for use in the student’s workplace and may qualify graduate to move into supervisory or managerial positions within their department or provide evidence of graduate hours necessary for faculty positions in high schools, community colleges or universities.
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements include all requirements of the UTRGV Graduate College plus:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a recognized international equivalent in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Sciences.
- Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 semester credit hours.
- Two letters of reference.
- Letter of intent.
- ASCP MLS Generalist certification.
