PSYC 8356 Group Psychotherapy
Instruction in theory and techniques of group psychotherapy, including conceptualizing and implementing therapy in all phases of the group cycle, from group formation through termination; principles of group-based psychotherapy; identifying and dealing with common problems in group interaction; and multiple theoretical perspectives on the practice of group psychotherapy. Group psychotherapy techniques for Hispanics will be covered. Prerequisites:
PSYC 6354; graduate standing in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program.
