Sexual Assault
UTRGV is committed to maintaining a learning and working environment free from discrimination based on sex in accordance with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (SAVE Act).
UTRGV does not tolerate sexual misconduct, which includes sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Not only is sexual harassment and sexual violence impermissible pursuant to UTRGV’s sex discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual misconduct policies, UTRGV ADM 03-100 and ADM 03-300, but also by federal and state law.
