Emergency Tuition and Fee Loans

Emergency loans are available to UTRGV students needing assistance in paying registration costs and do not qualify for Federal Aid. Emergency loans will be available after federal, state aid, and institutional awards have been exhausted. Emergency loans must be paid back to the university during the same semester in which they are borrowed. Emergency Loans not paid by the due date will be assessed non-refundable late payment fees as shown in the table below. An applicant will be assessed a 1% non-refundable processing fee per semester.
