SOCI 4373 Latin American Society

The aim of this course is to present a general perspective of social change in Latin America and how the United States is being affected by this change. Gender and ethnic issues, industrialization, democratization, the illicit drug trade, economic and political integration, and the growing northbound tide of Latin American unskilled migrant workers will be examined.
