PHYS 4309 Nuclear and Particle Physics

A study of atomic nuclei and the fundamental constituents of matter. Topics include nuclear structure, natural and artificial radioactivity, nuclear reactions, fission, fusion, particles, and their interactions, standard model or particle physics, particle accelerators, cosmic rays, experimental methods, and examples from current research topics.
