PHYS 4302 Nano Optics

This course focuses on interaction of light with matter at a sub-wavelength scale. The course begins with an overview of lasers and optics, followed by an introduction into modern optical measurement techniques. It will cover principles of confocal microscopy, near-field optical illumination and detection techniques, and nano-scale optics.
