MECE 4322 Introduction to Finite Elements

This course is an introduction to finite element theory, and truss, beam and plate element formulation for linear static analysis. Application of boundary conditions, element convergence, isoparametric formulation and gauss quadrature are also examined. This course is design oriented, with a substantial component involving the use of a commercial software package.
