Program of Study - Educational Leadership (MED) - Accelerated Online

This online M.Ed. in Educational Leadership program is designed to develop culturally responsive educational leaders to serve a diverse student population, especially the English language learner.

Learn how to effectively direct and advocate for academic excellence as well as lead positive change in today’s schools with special focus on students from multicultural backgrounds and English language learner (ELL) populations. Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the graduate program, prospective candidates must first meet all requirements for graduate admission to UT Rio Grande Valley, as well as the other requirements listed below:

  1. Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 semester credit hours.
  2. GRE General Test. GRE test scores are valid for 5 years. GRE general test with minimum scores of 150 Verbal, 141 Quantitative, and 4.0 Analytical are required for conditional admission.
  3. Personal  statement  detailing  professional  goals  and  reasons  for pursuing the graduate degree.
  4. Resume including educational background and work experience.
