MASC 6320 Studies in Chicanx/Laitnx Schooling

This course is an intensive analysis of Chicanx/@ and Latinx/@ educational experiences. This course is concerned with how Chicanx/@ and Latinx/@ educational experiences reflect coloniality and how we as educators can create trans-formative experiences for Chicanx/2s and Latinx/@s grounded in decolonialism. The overall objecive of the course is to apply Chicanx/2 and Latinx/@ studies analyses to the real-world by documenting instances of coloniality as reflected in narratives, poetry, testimonios, curriculum, textbooks, policies, social media and other practices and performances in order to develop critical interventions, practices, and epistemologies that address the needs of Raza students.
