THE 211 Discovering the Church
This course focuses on the theology of the Church in the Scriptures and in the Catholic tradition. Issues to be considered include the four properties of the Church, the hierarchical and sacramental nature of the Church, images and models of the Church, the documents of Vatican II, the ecumenical movement, and the Church’s relationship with world religious traditions. Classes may be taught in an in-class, hybrid, or online format. Some designated hybrid and online courses have set times that require virtual participation. (May be taught concurrently with THE 610)
