AER 201-202L Evolution USAF Lab

The AS200 course examines the general aspects of air and space power from a historicalperspective. The course covers a time period from the first balloons and dirigibles to the 21stcentury war on terrorism. Historical examples are provided to extrapolate the development of AirForce capabilities (competencies) and missions (functions) and to demonstrate the evolution of airand space power. The course examines fundamentals associated with war in the third dimension:e.g., principles of war and tenets of air and space power. As a whole, this course provides cadetswith a knowledge-level understanding of the employment of air and space power from a doctrinaland historical perspective. In addition, students continue discussing the importance of the AirForce Core Values, through operational examples and historical Air Force leaders, and continueto develop their communication skills. Leadership Laboratory is mandatory for AFROTC cadetsand complements this course by providing cadets with followership experiences.
