The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Humanities explores human identities, communications, self-expression, and experience to provide a foundation for lifelong adult education. The degree prepares students for the challenges presented by our ever-changing society and career market, enabling them to evaluate and use information wisely as ethical citizens and leaders. They develop a general knowledge of the traditional liberal arts disciplines, and have the option of choosing an area of study in the humanities to develop a greater depth of knowledge in one discipline. Credit requirements are distributed among the traditional liberal arts areas and electives. areas of study within the BA in Humanities degree are listed below.
Courses transferred to Thomas Edison State University are equated to the following levels: 1000, 2000, 3000 or 4000. A minimum of 18 credits equating to 3000 or 4000 are required in the area of study.
