BUSA 362 Business Analytics

This course examines the role of analytics in organizations. Students examine the various methods and processes for transforming data into insights to improve managerial decisions. Topics include data management, data visualization, predictive modeling, data mining, forecasting simulation and optimization. Special attention is paid to the art of collecting, analyzing, understanding, communicating, and formulating decisions about business related activities using data and big data. Hands-on projects apply concepts and tools to translate data sets into relevant, actionable information that is communicated in ways to drive analytics into action.
