MAP 110 Medical Assisting Law and Ethics

This course empowers aspiring healthcare professionals to master effective verbal and non-verbal communication, including overcoming barriers and understanding behavioral dynamics. Participants will delve into patient coaching techniques, medical writing, and critical healthcare roles. The course covers essential theories by Maslow, Erikson, and Kubler-Ross, and differentiates between subjective and objective data. Students will familiarize themselves with pivotal medical-legal terms, regulations like HIPAA, the Good Samaritan Act, and the HITECH Act, while also exploring the interplay between personal and professional ethics.
