NUR1040 Transition
This blended course is designed to assist the Advanced Standing student in the transition into second year courses. Advanced Standing students in this program are LPN, Military Medic, and Paramedic students who meet program requirements. This course will also assist the Advanced Standing student to make the transition from their previous role to that associated with professional nursing. The content will include the core threads from NUR 1400 and NUR 1410. A review of basic skills and their clinical application will also be included. Unrestricted Ohio LPN license, Unrestricted Paramedic Certificate, and Military Medic within the last 5 years shown on DD214 form and program permission. Prerequisite: Unrestricted Ohio LPN license, Unrestricted Paramedic Certificate, and Military Medic within the last 5 years shown on DD214 form.
Prerequisite
NUR1003 STNA or equivalent, and unrestricted Ohio LPN License, paramedic certificate, or DD 214 showing military medic status within the last 5 years. Program permission is needed.
