PSY2490 Systems/Facilities of Behavioral Health
This course covers levels of care, types of facilities and settings in behavioral health care and psychological practice. Students will explore private practice settings, community-based mental health, and residential units for substance abuse, mental health crisis, geriatric, and developmental disabilities. Settings will also include educational settings for autistic and behaviorally challenged students in integrated classrooms and school settings. Legal and ethical standards and guidelines will be explored.
