PSY1200 Abnormal Psychology

In this course students will learn the basic concepts of abnormal psychology. The diagnostic criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) for the major categories of psychological disturbances will be presented. Facts about etiology, prognosis, and treatment modalities using the DSM V as a basis will be presented and discussed.
