GER1000 Introduction to Gerontology
An introductory course in the study of gerontology integrating historical, biological, psychological, socio-cultural, environmental, and developmental aspects of aging. The course covers current gerontological theories, research findings, and policy relevant for professionals working in the medical and social service fields. An interdisciplinary approach is presented for knowledge and skill development for those working with adults middle-age through end-of-life.
