Program Description

The Criminal Justice Certificate I, School Resource Officer Option, is designed for the student interested in working as a school resource officer. The magnitude and changing complexity of the criminal justice system, the juvenile justice system, and criminal activities in our society dictate the need for criminal justice personnel that think critically and are empowered to make ethical decisions when responding to the unique needs of our juvenile population. The program includes General Education courses from the college curriculum and Criminal Justice courses focused on preparing the student for a career as a school resource officer.

The Criminal Justice Certificate I, School Resource Officer Option, is tailored to help advance careers in the criminal justice system with a credential in a criminal justice field of study.
