Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Recognize and express at a minimum 1500 basic ASL signs.
2. Accurately provide and request personal information such as name, living situation, and family information.
3. Use numbers 1-99 including informational numbers such as phone numbers, addresses and zip codes.
4. Accurately fingerspell, interpret fingerspelling, and know when it is appropriate to fingerspell.
5. Give and follow directions.
6. Express and understand basic needs such as being hungry, sick or lost.
7. Converse about common everyday activities.
8. Tell a personal story to a group of peers.
9. Gain basic insights about Deaf Culture and the D/deaf community.
