MKT 1510 Entrepreneurial Marketing

Entrepreneurial marketing is designed to instruct learners how to create, develop, and execute marketing tactics to grow a successful business. A marketing plan will be created, which can be used as a tool to market successful businesses. The student will gain insights essential for marketing their entrepreneurial venture using innovative and financially responsible marketing strategies. The student will create effective marketing communication materials for use in his or her operation. The student will prepare a marketing plan to launch the entrepreneurial venture and implement the first two years of business operation. (3 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Identify and explain the driving philosophies relevant to entrepreneurial marketing.

2. Relate the importance of marketing to a target market in an entrepreneurial venture.

3. Prepare a two-year marketing plan to launch and implement an entrepreneurial venture utilizing an effective marketing strategy and proper marketing tactics.

4. Create marketing goals and objectives to include in the marketing plan.

5. Write an appropriate advertising strategy.

6. Analyze product pricing policies in an entrepreneurial venture.

7. Complete a two-year marketing budget.

8. Develop a two-year advertising promotional calendar.

9. Develop a branding strategy.

10. Create marketing communication materials including effective print, radio, TV, new media, and mobile advertisements.

11. Create Public Relations materials including media kit, press release, and blog posting.

12. Explain why Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics are important.

13. Determine the appropriate metrics for website results.
