EDFD 2020 Foundations of Education
This course offers a general philosophical and sociological survey of educational thought and practice in the United States, viewed as a part of social progress. Students will critically examine the historical, sociological, and philosophical foundations of the present American educational system. They will discuss current significant educational issues and practices. This course is intended for undergraduates who have decided to enter the teaching profession. Prerequisite: Completion of
ENGL 1010 and
