CSMO 1505 Nail Technology Lab
This course provides a complete guide to nail technology as it applies to the hands and feet. The student will learn hands-on techniques for nail care, application of nail products, nail art, pedicures, as well as hand, arm, feet, and leg massage. The student will apply concepts addressed in CSMO 1500 Intro to Nail Technology. Prerequisite: Completion of CSMO 1500, CSMO 1701, CSMO 1702, and CSMO 1720. (6 lab)

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
Perform infection control processes as they apply to Nail Technicians.
Explain the chemistry, use, and supplies needed for monomer liquid and polymer powder nail enhancements.
Perform nail enhancements, maintenance, crack repair, removal.
Create nail enhancements using monomer liquid and polymer powder products and processes.
Explain proper maintenance and care for an electric drill.
Demonstrate the proper use and safety of an electric nail drill.
Demonstrate effective communication with clients through consultations.
