CO/M 2270 Public Relations
The course covers the history of public relations, its theoretical basis as well as the legal and ethical environment. The core issues and process that underlie public relations are detailed, as well as the descriptions of the publics that are the objects of these efforts. A summary of the practice of public relations, the emerging trends of the profession, and issues with crisis management are discussed. Case studies provide opportunities for student discussion and interaction with concepts. Prerequisite: Completion of
