Registering for Graduate Courses
Students are eligible to take graduate-level courses if:
> They have been accepted into a graduate degree or certificate program
> They have been accepted to be a visiting graduate student
> They have been accepted to the Bachelor’s to Master’s Program
Most graduate courses for programs in the W. Cary Edwards School of Nursing and Health Professions, Heavin School of Arts, Sciences and Technology, and the John S. Watson School of Public Service are offered four times a year in January, April, July, and October. Graduate courses for programs in the School of Business and Management, as well as the Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science and Analytics, are offered six times a year in January, March, May, July, September, and November. A recommended course load is 6 credits per term, allowing the degree to be completed in 18 months or less. Students wishing to take additional courses within a term are encouraged to reach out to their dean. Online courses are guided by mentors, most of whom have practical experience and earned doctoral degrees. All online courses are delivered through myEdison®, the University’s online portal. Students are expected to have experience and proficiency using a computer, browsing the web, and sending and receiving email. Upon acceptance, students will be sent a seven digit University ID number and password. Graduate students in the W. Registration dates are listed in the Academic Calendars. There will be a week of late registration following the close of regular registration, in which the late registration fee applies.

- Juneteenth: Wednesday, June 19, 2024
